QUICK GUIDE: Creating a Ticket System for Your Support Server
This is an example guide to set up a Ticket System with Bluetick for your support server.
Before you start, please read:
- Understanding Message Embeds in Discord to understand how to setup a message with Bluetick
- Using placeholders
1. Configure General Settings
Start by adjusting the general settings to suit your server's operational needs.
- Opting for "Thread Mode" is recommended for a more organized and less cluttered approach.
- Limiting users to 3 simultaneous tickets is also recommended to balance accessibility and manageability, preventing an overflow of repetitive or unresolved tickets.
2. Create Individual Reaction Panels
For each of your service areas — Support, Report, and Improvement — you will need to create a distinct reaction panel:
-
Support Panel: Configure this panel with an appropriate message and a welcoming note that will be displayed to users as they open a ticket. This sets the tone and expectations for the kind of support they will receive.
-
Report Panel: Similarly, prepare a panel dedicated to reporting issues or concerns. The panel message and welcome message should be crafted to guide users on how to report effectively, ensuring that they provide all necessary information.
-
Improvement Panel: This panel should encourage users to share their suggestions for server or service improvements. The welcome message can prompt them to describe their ideas in detail, fostering a constructive environment for growth.
3. Establish a Multi-Reactions Panel
Once your individual reaction panels are ready, proceed to set up a Multi-Reactions Panel. This panel consolidates your service areas into a single, accessible location, making it easier for users to navigate and select the appropriate service:
-
Panel Configuration: Draft a clear and concise message for the multi-reactions panel that outlines the different ticket options available to users.
-
Channel Selection: Decide on the channel where this comprehensive panel will be displayed. This should be a location easily accessible and visible to all server members.
-
Integrate Reaction Panels: Incorporate the three previously created reaction panels (Support, Report, Improvement) into your multi-reactions setup. This amalgamation allows users to choose their specific need from a unified interface.
Following these steps, your Ticket System is now ready
